BOOTS TO HEELS®
Learn about our program tailored towards women in the military community.
In 2012, we began to notice an increase in veterans attending our Core Program. After much research, we discovered there were no other organizations addressing the specific needs of women veterans in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex.
With our Core Program as a base, we developed Boots to Heels® to address the unique needs of women in the military community: Active, Guard, Reserve, Veteran, Spouses of Veterans, and First Responders. The women have an opportunity to interact with others who face similar challenges transitioning from military life as veterans while reclaiming their self-esteem and finding their self-worth.

Boots to Heels® consists of the following two days:
Day One is an introduction to Attitudes & Attire® and the tools provided in our Core program. We assist with identifying barriers to self-esteem and equipping with tools to feel more confident. We provide a safe environment where women connect and network with each other.
Day Two focuses on employment and resources. Mentors (women veterans and human resource professionals) work one-on-one with our clients to assist with resume development, interview skills and leveraging LinkedIn. We also invite our partner agencies to share about their programs and services offered specifically for women veterans.
