|Attitudes & Attire™ Honors Dr. Sandra Bond Chapman at 16th Annual Luncheon & Fashion Show|
(Dallas, Texas – March 7, 2013) Attitudes & Attire™, a non-profit agency dedicated to promoting personal growth for women seeking self-sufficiency, held its 16th Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show on March 1st in the Grand Pavilion of the Dallas Trade Mart. The event drew more than 600 attendees, with all proceeds benefiting Attitudes & Attire™.
Lyn Berman, founder and executive director of Attitudes & Attire™ noted, “We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the day a success, from our dedicated volunteers and staff to our generous sponsors.” The event featured fashions from the Attitudes & Attire™ boutique and designer Eileen Fisher. Several former clients of the agency walked the runway and were greeted with a standing ovation at the close of the fashion show. Berman added, “We’re especially proud of our clients who modeled in the fashion show and shared their inspirational stories of triumphing over adversity.”
During the luncheon, Berman presented the agency’s 2013 Kim Dawson Award to Dr. Sandra Bond Chapman, Ph.D., Founder and Chief Director of the Center for BrainHealth at the University of Texas at Dallas. Several past award honorees were also in attendance, including Sarah Losinger, Caroline Rose Hunt, Karen Farris, Cheryl Mansour and Ebby Halliday.
Dallas fashion designer Michael Faircloth served as Honorary Chair for the event. With more than 30 years of experience creating custom couture clothing for an international clientele, Faircloth is most well-known for designing the inaugural wardrobe for former First Lady Laura Bush. Anna De Haro of Clear Channel Radio Dallas/Fort Worth served as Mistress of Ceremonies.
